The Final Death by Gail Z. Martin

The Final Death by Gail Z. Martin

Book Description: A Deadly Curiosities Adventure #8 (Novella) – Vampires, vengeful ghosts and Voodoo are all in a day’s work for Cassidy Kincaide, owner of Trifles and Folly, an antique and curio store in historic, haunted Charleston, SC whose real mission is to get dangerous magical objects off the market and out of the wrong hands. When developers disturb old graves, Cassidy and her team land in the middle of big trouble as the restless dead return to finish old business and feast on the blood of the living. A novella in 5 parts – FREE for a limited time on Wattpad.

My Review: I love these stories. I think it’s Cassidy’s view of things that pulls me in. Her passing observations about Sorren are great too.

Since the story is told in first person (just like Deadly Curiosities) we get to experience the story through Cassidy’s level headed retelling. I like that she isn’t prone to hysterics. The weird and scary don’t send her into a panic. Her strength comes from her ability to see the situation she’s in as a whole. Her curiosity keeps her fear in check. Even in the creepy crypt she keeps her head. It isn’t that she’s not afraid. She is. That scene in the crypt scares every character that’s in it. Trust me.

Speaking of creepy scenes there are a lot to choose from in this novella. Even parts that you wouldn’t think would be creepy were creepy. I have two words for you: parking garage. I loved it.

Read this one before it’s gone from Wattpad. If it is gone from Wattpad find it on Gail Z. Martin’s site. You won’t be sorry.  Check back on Monday for my review of Deadly Curiosities.
